As Cyprus continues to thrive as a travel and real estate hub, the island’s connectivity receives a major boost this winter season. Budget carrier Wizz Air is expanding its network from Larnaca with exciting new routes—linking Cyprus not only with Italy and Bosnia but also opening direct access to Armenia.

New Winter Routes: Venice & Tuzla from Larnaca

From 2 December 2025, Wizz Air will launch three weekly flights between Larnaca and Venice, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with fares starting at €19.99 (inclusive of mandatory fees and carry-on baggage) (In Cyprus News, Cyprus Mail).

Looking ahead to spring 2026, the airline will open a second international connection from Cyprus: Larnaca to Tuzla (Bosnia). Flights begin on 31 March 2026, running twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, also starting at €19.99 (In Cyprus News, Cyprus Mail).

Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications Manager, Olivia Harangozo, highlights Venice as a sought-after getaway (thanks to its romantic appeal), and Tuzla as an intriguing new destination for travellers seeking unique experiences (In Cyprus News).

Cyprus–Armenia: Direct Flights to Gyumri Begin This Autumn

In addition to European connections, Cyprus is now forging a direct link to the Caucasus. Beginning 30 September 2025, Wizz Air will operate twice-weekly flights between Larnaca and Gyumri’s Shirak Airport in Armenia. These flights will operate Tuesdays and Saturdays until 25 October, then shift to Thursdays and Sundays from 30 October onwards. Tickets are available on wizzair.com and the WIZZ app with fares starting at €19.99, covering administrative fees and small cabin baggage (In Cyprus News, en.aravot.am).

Anastasia Novak, Wizz Air’s Corporate and Sustainability Communications Manager, said that both Armenia and Cyprus are important emerging markets for Wizz Air, and this new route underscores their commitment to offering more affordable and varied travel opportunities—while inviting travellers to explore the charm of Larnaca and Cyprus as a destination (en.aravot.am, In Cyprus News).

Why This Matters for Cyprus Real Estate and Tourism

  • Enhanced Attraction for Buyers & Visitors: New direct routes make Cyprus even more accessible—especially to visitors from Italy, Bosnia, and Armenia—who may be exploring investment opportunities or property options.
  • Improved Tourism Flow: Increased tourist connectivity often drives short-term and long-term demand in local real estate markets.
  • Strengthened Global Positioning: Cyprus is rising not just as a Mediterranean gem, but as an increasingly connected destination—literally bridging Europe with the Caucasus.
